Independent Financial Advice You Can Trust

Clear fees. No hidden costs. Whole-of-market advice tailored to you.

Why We’re Different

Whole-of-Market Independent Financial Advice — Tailored to You

We’re independent financial advisers offering whole-of-market advice, which means we can review a wide range of lenders and providers to find the most suitable option for your circumstances — not a limited panel.

We take the time to understand what matters to you, explain everything in plain English, and recommend a tailored financial solution that fits your needs and budget.

Transparent Financial Adviser Fees with No Hidden Costs

We believe you should always understand what you’re paying for, what you’re getting, and why.

So before we do anything, we’ll explain your options, answer your questions, and agree the fee and how it will be paid — before any work starts.

We keep things clear and efficient: no unnecessary layers, no hidden extras, and no surprises. You ask. We deliver. And you’ll always know the cost.

VAT may apply to some services. If it does, we’ll tell you up front.

Real People. Real Support.

If you ever have a question, you’ll speak to a real person who knows your case — not a call centre.

How You Can Pay for Financial Advice

Depending on the financial planning service, fees can be paid in a way that suits you, for example:

  • A single payment on completion
  • Instalments (where this is facilitated through a recommended product), or
  • A standing order (monthly/quarterly/annually)

We’ll always confirm what applies to your situation before you commit.

If your circumstances are more complex, we’ll provide an estimated breakdown and agree it with you in advance. If you’d like extra peace of mind, you can also ask us to set a maximum fee that we won’t exceed without speaking to you first.

Investment Advice & Pension Advice Fees

Implementation Fee for Investment Planning (percentage-based, where appropriate)

For investment advice and pension planning, we may agree a percentage-based fee for implementing the recommendations. Where used, this can be structured as 2% on the first £100,000 and 1.5% on the remainder—and we’ll confirm the exact basis for your circumstances before we begin.

Ongoing Financial Planning Service: 0.5% per year

We offer an ongoing investment review service charged at 0.5% per annum of the value of your investment portfolio. This can be paid by deduction from the investment or by direct debit, and you can cancel at any time.

Protection Insurance Advice Fees (Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection)

For protection insurance products, you can choose for us to be paid by commission from the provider (paid indirectly as part of the product’s overall pricing).

If you prefer, you may be able to reduce the premium by discounting commission and instead pay a separately agreed fee for the advice and work—again, we’ll explain the options clearly so you can choose what feels right.

Mortgage Adviser Fees

For mortgage advice, the typical mortgage broker fee is around £300, payable on completion.

If your mortgage is more complex and the work involved is likely to be higher than typical, we will tell you clearly and agree the fee with you before we start the mortgage application process. We may also receive commission from the lender, and we’ll explain this as part of your mortgage recommendation.

General Insurance Advice Fees

For general insurance advice, we do not usually charge a separate fee as we typically receive commission from the provider.

A Smart Checklist: Questions to Ask About Financial Adviser Fees

Financial adviser fees can look similar on the surface. The difference is often in the total cost, the layers, and the incentives. When comparing independent financial advisers, it’s worth asking:

  • What will I pay in total—and how is it collected?
  • Do you receive any other compensation besides what I pay you directly?
  • Are there product fees on top of advice fees?
  • Can we agree everything in advance (and set a maximum if needed)?
  • What do I actually get for the fee—once, and ongoing?
